BROTHER HOPE #2 to rock Pasuruan

The PDI Perjuangan’s Red Building in Pasuruan, East Java will witness another underground gig this month. The second installment of BROTHER HOPE, an all-genre collective event will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2017.

Twenty six brisk, vigorous and aggressive bands are scheduled to perform in BROTHER HOPE #2. Malang-based death metal veteran COURVOISHIT#7  will co-headline the very show along with LABIUM MINORA (Pasuruan, death metal), STAGNATED (Malang, death metal), and OVER DEATH (Pasuruan, grindcore). The gate will open at 8 AM.

Abdul Igor from Alon-alon Asal Kelakon, an event collective who organizes the show spoke to www.Musik.or.id about the show. He uttered the Brother Hope event series was formed as an inclusive platform for any underground musicians in Pasuruan to engage and showcasing their talents, no matter what genre they play.

The first Brotherhope gig was held at the same building on September 18, 2016.

Igor, former now-defunct black metal act DECEIVER’s frontman revealed the story behind the unique organizer’s name “Alon-alon asal Kelakon” (in English: better safe than sorry). A friend suggested the flock for not to rush the (first) show before finalizing the concept with appropriate planning and design. Alon-alon asal Kelakon was officially founded on June 10, 2016.
