Disgusting Castigation and Expendiency to headline Lampung Timur Menghitam 3

The third installment of  Lampung Timur Menghitam will blacken East Lampung, once again, after the success of the two first editions. The gig series proprietor, Pasirsakti Metal Syndicate schedules the hottest issue to be held at the same venue the previous gig took place: the sacred Balai Rakyat Karyatani Labuhan Maringgai, East Lampung.

Lampung TImur Menghitam #3 will be organized on Sunday, May 14, 2017.

The current roster published by the society tells fifteen indigenous vicious metal acts will share the stage with their counterparts from Tangerang and Bogor. Disgusting Castigation and Expediency are invited to headline the very show.

The Disgusting Castigation duo will promote brutal tracks from their brutal debut Perpetual Carve On Manifest Torture which just released on April 16, 2017 at Tangerang Brutality 2, a metal fest owned by Nanda Z Bastian, the band founder and guitarist.

Frontman of Germinativum and Imperforata, Fajar, will sing with the band as guest vocalist. Disgusting Castigation has lost frontman Petrus Naibaho last February due to his previous commitment with Oscuro, another Tangerang-based death metal act. Petrus’ departure had made Nanda took his parts during the debut recording sessions.

The band was founded in 2015 and now consists of Nanda (guitars/vocals) and Arga Haryanto (drums).

The Lampung Timur Menghitam #3 is the fourth date in Sadistic Tour 2017, a tour set up by Bogor-based brutal death metal band Expendiency, to promote their debut full-length Sadistic Murder, released by Extreme Souls Production on February 20, 2017.

Sadistic Tour 2017 current dates consist of the band’s engagements at Tangerang Brutality 2 (4/16), Timur Menghitam (Bogor, 4/30), RPM Death Fest (Yogyakarta, 5/12), Lampung Timur Menghitam (5/14), Lakbok Bergetar (Ciamis, 7/1), and Groupies Death Fest 3 (Bandung, 7/8). Its official fan page said more dates to be announced.

The trio Expendiency was formed in 2010, prolonging the life of now-defunct Ending Truth. The founding member and sole survivor Aditiya Ramdhan has been switching his gears three times since its inception. Starting from vocal, then bass, and firmed in guitar position since 2013. Aditya is currently accompanied by Rizki Darmawan (vocals) and Katon Gilang Ramadhan (drums).

Andika Putra Pratama from Pasirsakti Metal Syndicate in his interview with www.Musik.or.id talked about the show and the society.  The syndicate was founded on November 19, 2014 by Barzah’s former drummer Zaenal Abidin, Barzah’s future drummer Andika and Barzah’s frontman Inux Sahputra.

The society aims to provide a platform for musicians in the area, to cut their teeth and to showcase their works to local metal music aficionados.

Zaenal brought the idea to organize a local gig since there was no similar event in their neighborhood. A gig franchise was eventually born and named Lampung Timur Menghitam. The gig was organized for the first time on April 19, 2015, followed by the sophomore on February 26, 2016.

To hold the show, Pasirsakti Metal Syndicate always co-operates with fellow local underground communities such as Komunitas Gondrong People Lampung (KGPL) and Family Metal Syndicate (FMS).

Along with Lampung Timur Menghitam, the society has been organizing Jabat Tangan Bersatu twice since 2015. These charity gigs benefited an orphanage in Pasir Sakti.
