Jember welcomes a new gig in town: TANGGUL CITY HARDCORE
A new all-genre gig is coming to town. Tanggul, a sub-district in Jember Regency, East Java Province, now welcomes TANGGUL CITY HARDCORE, an initiative by a flock of youngsters who gathered in Killer Down Family, whose idea to accommodate youth musicians’ needs in good managed show, inclusively.
The concert will be held at Aula Tanggul Wetan, on 7 January 2017 and showcasing 22 bands from all over East Java.
Achmad Raffi, who co-organize the gig told www.Musik.or.id it was his friend Abror Hakiki who’s coming with a thought to make a new platform that could bind a strong relationship between local musicians. The idea resulted in founding Killer Down Family crews. Even though TANGGUL CITY HARDCORE was chosen as the official name, it allows other musical genre to engage.
Raffi whose band Olddam is listed in the line up, claimed having experience in organizing shows in Jember before, such We Are Proud to United #1 & 2; Kami Bisa Bangkit Tanpa Mereka; and, Dengar Suara Kami. He expected the TCH would become annually.
Surabaya hard-core act Black Diamond is scheduled to promote their Ep “Ask, Understand, Conclude it” along the show, and will be accompanied by its fellow Surabayan counterpart Pollar33.
