DISAMORFATI presents MINANGKABAU EXTREME FEST

Padang is known for its underground music movement who birth many well-established bands and gigs. There are currently some UG societies who actively set gigs and gatherings. A new event collective DISAMORFATI shapes a new underground gig titled  MINANGKABAU EXTREME FEST. The show will take place at Yaoma Cafe, Jalan Proklamasi, Tarandam, Padang, West Sumatera, on Sunday, March 19, 2017.

There will be five metal acts headlining the gig: DIGGING UP, EQUATOR, IFRID, KEEP THE FAITH and TAHANAN NERAKA.

Bandung-based  death metal unit DIGGING UP is scheduled to kick start its Sumatera Infection Tour promoting their new album at the show. Another band to promote their new album in the very show is RETALITION from Sungai Penuh Jambi whose debut Inspire The Moment just released in January 2017.

Former Sanskerta’s frontwoman/guitarist Itah from DISAMORFATI spoke to www.Musik.or.id about the show. She said the organizer was formed in 2016 when she; Parasite of Human Side’s bassist and drummer Indra and Wahyu, respectively;  Overshoot’s guitarist Paul; and Eve’s vocalist Rifky, agreed to join force.

The five planned their first underground gig MINANGKABAU EXTREME FEST, whose aims to bring a new platform for extreme music musicians and fans; and to address the negative perception of local community about the metal music by presenting a good and friendly show.
