The prominent underground gig in Banda Aceh, the Not Just Noise franchise is back to town. This time, the fifth installment will be held by Bising Crew after a 3-year break.

The Not Just Noise 5 will take place at The Arena Theater, Taman Budaya Aceh, Jl. Teuku Umar Banda Aceh, on Saturday, April 1, 2017. This year’s theme is Strikes Back

Seventeen eminent (mostly) metal bands will share the stage to amuse the Kutaraja extreme music fans.

Zaldi Aditya Ryansyah from Bising Crew spoke to www.Musik.or.id about the show. He acknowledged the gig was held for the first time on March 12, 2013 at the DKA building, Taman Budaya Aceh as an underground gig under Gabungan Musisi Aceh, an umbrella institution for some music communities in Aceh.

The gig name was coined by the famous Acehnese music educator Moritza Thaher. The last issue, the Not Just Noise 4 was held on March 11, 2014 at the very place.

Ryan, the co-founder/frontman of death metal band Die Violence, added Bising Crew was founded as an event collective to organize the Not Just Noise gig franchise.
