Starting as a metalcore band, DIE VIOLENCE then turned into one of the most epic melodic death metal bands in Banda Aceh. The band has been bossing almost all moshing pits crowds in Banda Aceh since they formed it  in 7 October 2010.

The story began when two high school students craved to have a good metalcore band. Gusty (drums) and Monok (guitars) spread a verbal ads to their school mates, and other metal enthusiast gangs, looking for personnel to form a new band. It didn’t take so long since the ads was placed, they met Wiria (guitars) and Ery (bass). They recruited another high school student as their frontman, Marwan.

DIE VIOLENCE was picked as the band name. The all-high-school-metal-band started to cover Lamb of God‘s songs for their repertoire. They took part in almost every musical gig in Banda Aceh that allowed them to play.

In 2011, Marwan was replaced by former Carcass of Dog‘s frontman, Pepe. They changed their musical direction to be more into melodic death metal. Gusty cited bands like As I Lay Dying, All That Remains and The Black Dahlia Murder give huge impact to their music.

They drafted Ryan Japrax from Defamatory to fill vacant vocalist position as Pepe quit the band for undisclosed reason in 2012.  The latest line-up entered Black Crown Studio in January 2013 and recorded their first single, Instigator.
