Profile: MISERABLE DEATH

MISERABLE DEATH is an Acehnese brutal death metal act originally from Meulaboh, West Aceh. Formed in 2010 as SERAPAH LAKNAT by guitarist Didi and drummer Daink after parted ways  with their previous band, JASASAH, due to creative differences with other members Apid (vocals) and Putra (bass).

Former PANGLIMA NANGGROE‘s frontman Resha was soon recruited, and the band employed some additional players to fill the bass position, such as Ai (MOCKSAW), Rega (PANGLIMA NANGGROE) and Putra (JASASAH).

With influences came from band like Dying Fetus, Forgotten, Nile, Deadsquad, Demons Dam, and Jasad, the flock wrote their first tune “Sekarat 2 Rakaat” and started to engage in any metal gigs all over Aceh. They soon altered their name into MISERABLE DEATH.

Resha departed to focus on his study in 2011 and left MISERABLE DEATH in an uncertain situation. Unfortunately the founding members could not find any replacement to fill Resha’s shoe. Eventually they put it on an undefined hiatus.

A year after, MISERABLE DEATH was awaken by the enrollment of ex-RAMJDAH’s singer, Rifky. They commenced to compose more songs: “Ketika Lucifer Bertasbih” and “Prasasti Zaman Pembantaian”.  The songs talk about immorality, darkness, misery, and infidelity.

By 2013, Bassist Dharma Putra  from ATC08 caught the attention of Daink and Didi. They decided to enlist him as their permanent member.
