Independent record label Rottenflesh Record was founded in 2014 by Supriyadi, a guitarist from Cilacap-based metal act AMPHUTASY. Yadi’s intention in founding a new label was to release the second volume of  Underground United, a one-hit compilation project that he and some friends started few years before.

Yadi’s background as a musician from Cilacap has made him obsessed to help push his hometown bands to distribute their music nationally. Being relocated to Jakarta in 2007 for another work was a big advantage to materialize his dream. He set a pathway with Rottenflesh Record. Another compilation was released in 2016 with materials were collected from bands who participated in his Cilacap metal gig series Peteng the Death.

It was until 2016, bands were signed to the label. Jakarta-based death metal act KUJANG RAMPAK released its debut eponymous album in September 2016. Rottenflesh also secured deals with Jambi’s RETALITION, Jakarta’s DEAD CRY, INSTRUCTION KILLER and Al-QASSAM.  Retalition issued its debut Inspire the Moment in December 2016, while the others are scheduled to release theirs in 2017.

Rottenflesh Record will also release a split album in 2017 named Brutal Maniac “Brutality CD Compilation” featuring DAMNATION (Jogjakarta), MOREDEAD (Bandung), KUJANG RAMPAK (Jakarta), RETALITION (Jambi), and INSTRUCTION KILLER (Jakarta).
