Konawe extreme music enthusiast will witness a new underground gig in town. BUMI KONAWE METAL FEST is scheduled to take place for the first time at Outdoor Lawn Tennis Court, Unaaha, the capital city of Konawe Regency (formerly known as Kendari Regency), Southeast Sulawesi on Saturday, March 11, 2017.

The gig’s proprietor, the Unaaha Underground Sindikat reforms its flagship event series TEPOROMBUANO METAL and changing the name to BUMI KONAWE METAL FEST. Since its inception in 2009, Teporombuano Metal gig franchise were held six times to date.

Marlien Qunted from Unaaha Underground Sindikat spoke to www.Musik.or.id about the show and the society. He said the gig aimed to maintain the underground music development in Konawe and Southeast Sulawesi, and to reunite metalheads from all over Southeast Sulawesi.

The brutal death metal act Gorok’s frontman continued, Unaaha Underground Sindikat was founded in 2006 and their flagship annual gig was TEPOROMBUANO METAL. Before that, UUS held one event named KONAWE MEPOKOASO in 2008.

He added there are 7 regular metal gigs in Southeast Sulawesi every year, organized by seven different communities.

Tweny nine lethal and dangerous bands will assail the Unaaha Outdoor Lawn Tennis Court from 13.00 – 24.00 Indonesia Central Time.
