Cilongok Bawah Tanah to hold a birthday concert this Sunday
To commemorate its second anniversary, The Cilongok Bawah Tanah will hold a birthday concert. The underground society from Cilongok sub-distrik, Banyumas Regency set to organize the gig on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Nice Time Cafe, Purwokerto.
Twenty five bands are scheduled to participate in the very show. The event collective will showcase Burning Flame (Depok) and Undelayed (Tangerang) as headliners.
Fans has been waiting for the sophomore full-length album of Depok-based metalcore act Burning Flame, after their debut Seven Fire, released in 2011. September last year saw the band published their single Whisper Inside. No further information about the band’s future, but presumably they will amuse Banyumasan metal aficionados with Whisper Inside and previous tracks from debut Seven of Fire.
Burning Flame was founded in 2004 and current formation consists of Aditya (bass), Rifky (drums), Bio (guitars) and Gerald (vocals).
Undelayed is busy with dates promoting their debut EP Primordial, released last February. The EP contains five tracks that can make metalcore fans “undelaying” them self from headbanging and moshing.
The band comprises frontman Yanuar “Dabot” Rizky, guitarist Dzikri “Seceng” Mufidi, guitarist Dimas “Pacman” Radityo, bassist Edrian “Babal” Sutarya and drummer Yudha “IDGAF” Putra.
The show will be presented by emcees Chilley Kiddi and Sofie.
Awal Rizgqiani from Cilongok Bawah Tanah in his recent interview with www.Musik.or.id spoke about the community. The society was established on October 26, 2014 by Gembel Waceng, Toni Angker, Benu and Dika. Dika thought there was a chance to form and to develop an underground society in Cilongok since there was none. Dika then was appointed to lead Cilongok Bawah Tanah.
Their first anniversary was held at Dika’s house on October 25, 2015 in Sokawera, Cilongok.
Cilongok Bawah Tanah aims to strengthen the bonding between metalheads around that area; to develop management skills and to bestow good shows to metal music enthusiasts.
Awal added this event was backed up by Purwokerto Underground Community, Purwokerto Grindcore, Kesugihan Corps Grinder, Jatilawang South Conspiration, Curug Underground Community, Gumelar Corps Grinder, Pekuncen Death Metal, Banyumas Metal Syndicate and Cilacap Njero Lemah Community.
