Sick Army presents Re-Sick Fest MMXVII: Disseminate of Wrath
Surabaya-based underground society Sick Army will throw the second installment of its flagship death metal extravaganza, The Re-Sick Fest. This year’s issue will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Kaya Resto Jl. Jemursari 144, Surabaya, East Java.
The Sick Army has chosen Disseminate of Wrath as the fest’s theme, meaning sixteen well-established explosive metal acts whose names in the final roster are compelled to blast the Re-Sick Fest 2017, encouraging spectators to raze Kaya Resto with their super duper loud songs.
Bandung’s brutal death metal Digging Up was scheduled to play at the show, but has cancelled the date due to drummer Arief Rahadian having an illness that forced him to be hospitalized.
The band’s official fan page released a statement about the cancellation on May 15. Digging Up has just finished Sumatera Infection Tour 2017 last March, to promote their debut full-length Disseminated Inapparent Infection, published by Disembowel Records on June 18, 2014.
Ary Febrianto from Sick Army in is interview with www.Musik.or.id talked about the society and its show. He said Sick Army was established in November 2015 as an alliance of members from some existing underground communities in Surabaya.
The society aims to strengthen the relationship between underground musicians in the area, especially death metallers by holding a weekly gathering and events. The first Re-Sick installment was held on January 16, 2016 at Monkasel underlining Awakening The Dead as its theme.
They organized a charity to benefit orphans in Surabaya titled “Ajang Musik Underground Kontroversial (AMUK)” in that year. The also threw a launch party for Surabaya-origin brutal death metal act Gerogot’s first full-length debut Cruelty Vomit of Hatred last month.
Ary, who sings in brutal death metal act Daging, is graceful for having no big obstacle in organizing event with Sick Army.

For 30 first merchandise package purchase orders, they give away promotional CDs from Ganas and Pathogenic Disaster.
