Salatiga to host Hell Reunion 2017
Salatiga will witness a dreadful underground event entitled Hell Reunion 2017. The event will be organized by Agresi Militan Selatan, a prominent local event collective who previously held the Revival gig series in 2013 and 2014.
Hell Reunion 2017 will take place on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Gedung Kopi Bathok, Jalan Pondok Joko Tingkir, Argomulyo, Salatiga, Central Java, starting from 1 PM until finish.
Twenty one devilish extreme music acts will stun the peaceful Gedung Kopi Bathok, turning it into a hell on earth atmosphere. This year’s Hammersonic Soul of Steel Award nominee for best newcomer, Paranoid Despire will headline the show along with Semarang-based death metal act Killer of Gods and Salatiga’s hardcore unit Crossfire.

Paranoid Despire will blast the Hell Reunion with a set list contains songs from their high-acclaimed debut full-length album Nebulous, released by Hitam Kelam Records on September 17, 2016.
The Surakarta-based death metal act was founded in 2010 as Used in Latter, and later changed to current name. Paranoid Despire’s latest line up consists of Faizal Anas Luh (bass), Andrian Kokom (vocals), Yoga Noor Pratama (drums), and Wahyu Alfian (guitars).
Mental Retardation Force is a magnum opus for East Breath Records’ artist Killer of Gods. The Semarang-based technical death metal worked the album with a vengeance, and delivered the killer full-length album on May 24th, 2016.
Prior to Mental Retardation Force, Killer of Gods released debut studio album Replica to Hell in 2013 through Surabaya’s No Label Records.
Killer of Gods was formed in 2011. Drummer Muhammad Yasin Yusuf and frontman Bocil Arga are the only survivors of its original members. Current lineup consists of Yusuf (drums), Bocil (bass), Reka Setya Mahadika (guitars), Muhammed Luthfi Al Hakim (bass) and Solichin (guitars).
Salatiga hardcore scene has been waiting for new works from Crossfire, a local HC famed. It’s been 3 years since the last release First to Fight, a debut full-length album published independently in 2014.
Founded in 2010 and heavily influenced by Madball, Crossfire never stops to amuse with anthem such as Time to Break, First to Fight, to name a few.
Last known formation comprises Pepeng (vocals), Yusak Hananto (guitars), Arya (bass), and Surya Item (drums).
Death metal act from Magelang Cassandra just launched “Berani Tour 2017” to promote its debut full-length album Sistematis Manipulasi, released independently on Monday, July 17, 2017. Hell Reunion 2017 will be the band’s second date.
Founded in 2016, Cassandra’s initial line up consisted of Sigit Widhiyanto(vocals), Dwi Candra (guitars), Adi (guitars), Machin Musyafak (bass) and Abaz Hadi Baskoro (drums). Adi quit the band subsequently and replaced by David Amb.
