Grunge music connoisseurs in Bekasi will witness a new grunge fest this month. Ten renowned Indonesian grunge/alternative rock bands will share the stage at BEKASI DISTORSI FEST. The gig will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Basket Hall – GOR Bekasi, Jl. Jendral Ahmad Yani Bekasi City starting from 2 PM to 11 PM.
The show was intended to organize on April 8, 2017, but Violet Entertainment has re-scheduled it to a new date to honor Indian Islamic preacher Dr. Zakir Naik’s sermon which was held on the same date in Bekasi.
Famous Indonesian singer Marcello Tahitoe and Toilet Sounds were listed in the initial lineup, but Ello cancelled his appearance due to scheduling conflict, and Toilet Sounds takes a rain check on the new date, said Ari Aryanto from Violet Entertainment in his interview with www.Musik.or.id.
Ari added Bandung-based grunge act Freak fills in Ello’s shoes to complete the breathtaking line up.
MC Jodirs and Boeday Foster will host the very show.
The Bekasi-based event management Violet Entertainment plans to make BEKASI DISTORSI FEST as an annual event.
