Rise After Fall releases second official music video for Kosong

Post-hardcore act from Tenggarong, Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan, Rise After Fall has released their second official music video to accompany single Kosong, on their Youtube channel on July 6, 2017. The single is part of their upcoming debut EP entitled Sadness, scheduled to be released by the end of this year.

The music video was produced by Lina Oktavia, and directed by the Rise After Fall co-founder/bassist Eka Brela Dewanda. Fellow Kevin Julyandi was in charge for editing and cinematography. The video script was written by Eva Novia Angraini.

Kosong was filmed in some locations. The first one was at Pulau Kumala, an island in the Mahakam River Delta at the west side of Tenggarong. Then at Blackwood Cafe, Guitarist Ifan’s house and Romo Music Studio. The shooting took place from June 2 and finished on June 25.

Co-starring with the band were fellows Eki Rihandini and Husen.

Kosong tells about a girl (Vivi Silvia, Rise After Fall’s frontwoman) who had a crush with a boy (Husen) and told her friend (Eki Rihandini) about it. Then she found out Husein and Eki were in a relationship.  Vivi had her heart broke, and met Eki at a bar, same place they met at the first scene. Vivi handed a note book to Eki, where written “tataplah aku dan lihatlah, apakah kau tau yang kini kurasa, semua tak berguna seakan tak berarti“. Vivi left, and the last scene shows she sat facing the wall, grieving.

The band, wore black outfits, were shown at the video performing music at a black-interior studio.

Rise After Fall recorded Kosong at  Zaka Record, Tenggarong. The tune was engineered and mixed by the studio owner, Zaka Satria.

Previously, Rise After Fall published debut music video titled Runaway on February 23, 2017.

Rise After Fall was founded by Vivi Silvia (vocals), Eka Brela Dewanda (bass), Jerry (drums), Muhamad Irfan (guitars) and Aswan (guitars). Aswan then quit and replaced by Sandy.

The current formation consists of Vivi Silvia (vocals), Eka Brela Dewanda (bass), Jerry (drums), Sandy ( guitarist ) Muhamad Irfan (guitarist ) and Rizki Pratama (keyboards).

In recent interview with www.Musik.or.id, bassist Eka cited Asking Alexandria, Memphis May Fire and Crown the Empire as the band’s biggest influences.
