Bandung, don’t miss Noise Damage at Bajasuti 3!

The Bajasuti Bandung Music Community will hold the third installment of its eponymous event on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Rumah Ukulele, Jl. Ancol Timur XIII No.17 Moch. Ramdan Bandung.

Bajasuti Vol. 3 will showcase twenty bands from Greater Bandung, featuring metal veteran Noise Damage and the up-and-coming star Fedora.

Death grind act Noise Damage was commemorating their 23th anniversary last May, with remarkable portfolio comprises EP Disaster of Society (1994), studio album Tradisi Membodohi (1999), EP Absurdity (2011), and EP Konflik Sosial (2015).

Founded in Bandung by Denny Guick (drums), Andrie Sabbath (vocals, guitars) and Dudenk (bass), the band’s current line up consists of Denny (drums), Moel Garcia (vocals) and Doclenk (guitars).

Bandung-based death metal act Fedora will have set list from their debut EP Life Behind Human Vanity, released by Horrible Creation Musick Media on April 30, 2017.

To promote the debut, Fedora is having a hectic roster, jump from one gig to another.

Founded in 2014 by drummer Erwin Muhamdan, the band’s last formation consists of Wahyu Sulaiman (vocals), Saeful Eka Jatnika (guitars), Dian Permata Surya (bass) and Erwin Muhamdan (drums).

Www.Musik.or.od recently conducted an interview with Bajasuti Bandung Music Community’s spokesperson Derry Andriana.

Derry spoke about the society, citing the lack of event for newcomers as the main reason he and some friends established a community that could create gigs for young musicians. Derry who plays drums with Thursday Evening, asked Cowboy Rippuh’s guitarist Miggot and fellow Sendy to form Bajasuti Bandung Music Community whose aim to provide young musicians with an all-genre gig platform. The platform was initially designed as a studio gig, but later moving to bigger venue.

September 11, 2016 was considered as the birth of the community, coincided with the first installment of the eponymous event. The debut was held at HARC Studio Bandung.

The second issue was organized on January 22, 2017 at Rumah Ukelee.

Derry Andriana who was born in Bandung on December 30, 1991 will play in the very show with Thursday Evening, a band that he joined since 2016. Previously Derry was in a “long trip” all around Indonesia and Malaysia for five years. “Long trip” is a local term for musicians/band who contracted by hotel/cafe in other cities to become resident/in-house musicians for certain times (usually months).
