The Boyolali Regency establishes a new series of public-funded music festival this year. Jazz Nite 2017, Gemah Ripah Rock Jinawi 2017, Pop Singer Audition, Boyolali Rock Fest 2, Boyolali Metal Fest – just to name a few.

Closer to date is BOYOLALI METAL FEST, which will be held at Balai Sidang Mahesa, Jl.Kates – Boyolali on Saturday, March 18, 2017 starting from 19.00 to 23.00 Indonesia Western Time.

Germany-based brutal death metal act DEFEATED SANITY will headline the very show, sharing stage with other four well-established bands from Central Java Province i.e PARANOID DESPIRE, TRAGICAL MEMORIES, KLANDESTIN, and ORBITAL ELEMENT.

Defeated Sanity is in its  Disposal of The World – Asian Tour 2017,  a world tour to accompany their last full-length album Disposal of the Dead (released by Willowtip Records on July 22, 2016). Starting from Dubai on March 10, and will last in Sendai, Japan on March 31.

Stoner/ doom metal act from Magelang, KLANDESTIN will showcase their single Halusinasi and other materials from their up-coming debut album.

Untung from Ireng Putih Production who organizes the show stated to www.Musik.or.id about the festival. He said the festival aims to promote the Boyolali Regency’s recent developments and achievements worldwide; to promote metal music to the Boyolali citizen; and giving access to local musicians to get their talent recognized while metal music enthusiasts are given opportunities to enjoy good show.

The Boyolali administration provides limited free ticket to the festival attendees. All you have to do is submit your ID to authorized ticket boxes, and collect the ticket at the venue entrance by showing your ID.
