Profile: Im Kidding

Melodic Pop-punk band Im Kidding is a vital element of Party Crew whose bimonthly We Do A Party gig franchise has been delivering rooms for a number of Lhokseumawe-based acts to showcase their talents in last two years.

It was formed in Lhokseumawe on 15 October 2010 by T Bima Rafarali (vocals, guitars) after his former band Bubble Gum was resolved. Bima asked Isan (bass), Azumar (guitars) and Rendy (drums) to join his new band. Shortly after their first performance at a local music competition, Isan resigned and then-Sacrifice In Vain‘s bassist Panda was offered to step into Isan’s shoes. Panda took the offer and joined afterward.

A synthesizer player Riski Murdani was added to the flock after some mutual jam sessions.

Im Kidding plays music like CloseHead, Pyongpyong, RocketRocker, MonkeyBussines and Nightelf. 

Their first single Kuyakin Dirimu was recorded in February 2011. The 5-piece band has been recording another six songs for their upcoming debut album Melukis Nada Dasar.

Bima, Rendy, Panda and Riski are students of Malikulsaleh University, and Azumar studies at Lhokseumawe Polytechnic.
