Profile: DG Records

DG Records is a Tangerang-based independent record company whose specialties are producing and distributing death metal records and its varieties only. Started as a merchandise distro in September 2013 by Denis Suhendra, an extreme music enthusiast, it has evolved into a record label in April 2016. A record company was the sole proprietor’s long dream.

Slamming brutal death metal act from Pemalang, Central Java, AMBORSINE, released their first eponymous EP through DG Records and remarked as the label’s first artist to be signed. Denis found AMBORSINE in Facebook in 2015 and engaged them in a gig shortly. He offered a contract to release their album after hearing the band’s Reverbnation link.  The band’s self-titled debut EP was launched on April, 9 2016.

After the label’s first record released, Denis started to scout bands to put in his label roster. He sealed an agreement with ATROCIOUS, a Tangerang brutal death metal veteran, in December 2016. DG Records will release their second full-length album in 2017. A promo CD was released on January, 1 2017.

Denis also secured deals with Depok’s CHUDAIVA and CONCUSSION to release their 2017 upcoming albums.

In December 2016, DG Records commenced its first compilation album project titled Ciledug Brutality Compilation. The album compiles twenty tracks from 10 most dangerous metal bands in Tangerang area. They are ATROCIOUS, DROP, BLEEDING FLESH, KARNAK, ANTITHESIS, FAILED VIRGIN, OMNIVOROUS, DISGUSTING CASTIGATION, HARAK, and CRANIAL CORPSE. The album is scheduled to release in April 2017.

DG stands for Disgorge, inspired by the owner’s favorite death metal band, Visceral Disgorge.
